I am grateful to be part of this project, and I want to thank Su Ba, teachers, and seniors for helping us complete this research. Their assistance has enabled us to pass down all the stories of Tamsui. Participating in this competition allowed me to delve deeper into the mysteries of Tamsui. I hope that after viewing our website, everyone can get to know Su Ba better and understand Tamsui, a place full of warmth and humanity.

Tamsui has a long and rich cultural history that needs to be passed down to help the next generation understand the cultural development of their hometown. In researching Su Ba’s life, I witnessed the stark contrast between the old Tamsui and our present lives. From the former Shell Warehouse to the current community university, the transformation is significant. I can see that when Su Ba shares, he does so with a deep sense of nostalgia. The changes in the scenery happen too quickly. Without proper documentation, we may not be able to witness these changes in the future. This is the significance of our participation in the Cyber Expo.

While organizing the data, I learned the importance of team communication. If tasks are not allocated properly, the progress that should be achieved may be delayed. Thanks to the seniors for leading us to complete the final outcome together.

In our freshman year, our teachers introduced the ‘Cyber Expo,’ a large website-making competition. Fortunately, in our sophomore year, we had the privilege of participating in this competition. Throughout the process, I discussed with team members, seniors, and most importantly, Su Ba, on how to construct the website. This experience deepened my understanding of the historically significant land of Tamsui. I also learned many technical skills I didn’t know before or enhanced my existing abilities.

From the weekly interviews and data organization to the meetings during self-study, the time everyone devoted to these activities became a significant driving force for advancing the project. Although we often encountered difficulties during discussions, proactive deliberation helped us overcome challenges. Thanks to the guiding teachers and seniors who assisted us during the website creation, allowing us to experience considerable growth.

Participating in this competition for the second time provided me with a clearer understanding of how to approach it. This includes handling the inquiry and consolidation of data. Throughout this process, I learned a lot about the history of Tamsui, Mackay, and our school. It has also heightened my anticipation for the future development of Tamsui.

Before entering the Humanities and Social Sciences class, I had already heard about the Cyber Expo, so I was interested in this activity. The experience of participating in the Cyber Expo has made me deeply feel the enthusiastic help of seniors. They are willing to share their experiences and knowledge, benefiting me greatly in exploring the online field. At the same time, this participation has made me more aware of how to change certain shortcomings in myself.

This is my first time participating in the Cyber Expo. At the beginning, I felt tired of constantly organizing data and wanted to give up. However, later I found out that participating in international competitions would be helpful for further education. Also, the senior sisters are very nice, and I can hear Su Ba introducing the stories of Tamsui. Although the process is tiring, it is also very interesting.

At first, I didn’t know about this competition. I just followed others to the office to submit the registration form. The teacher suddenly asked me, ‘Hey, you also want to participate, right?’ Without understanding the situation, I thought it shouldn’t be anything special, so I casually agreed. Later, after listening to the introduction from the seniors, I realized it’s an international competition. Initially, I felt like it had nothing to do with my dreams, so I was thinking of giving up. However, I later found out that it is very helpful for further education. The seniors are also very kind, and whenever I encounter problems, they are willing to teach me. I hope to learn more skills and improve myself through this new experience.

This is my first time participating in an international competition. Although the process of creating the website is more challenging than I imagined, the various things I learned, including the local history of Tamsui, interview skills, and website construction techniques, are real gains for me in the competition process. The step-by-step completion of data collection is also very fulfilling.
